Key takeaways

Desk research · hands-on test pending. Everything below comes from regulator registers and operator pages we read on 28 Oct 2026. We have not yet made deposits or timed withdrawals. Where a fact is unknown we say not yet tested. Sponsored placements are labelled and never change a ProofScore (how we make money).

“How long does a casino withdrawal take?” usually has three answers, one for each stage your money goes through. This guide explains each stage and what’s normal at a licensed casino. It also shows what our 10 reviewed casinos state, without inventing times we haven’t measured.

Stage 1: The pending period

After you request a withdrawal, the casino reviews it. That can be automated or manual, and can take minutes or days. Some operators let you cancel a pending withdrawal and keep playing. That’s a known risk for impulsive play, so if you can, turn it off or ask support to.

Stage 2: Verification (KYC)

Licensed operators must confirm your age and identity, and sometimes where your money comes from. Unibet’s MGA terms require identity, age and residence checks before payments over €2,000. 888casino says ID verification happens before a withdrawal is processed. LeoVegas says payments may be delayed while requested information is outstanding. Upload documents early to avoid getting stuck here.

Stage 3: Payment method processing

Once the casino approves a withdrawal, the payment provider moves the money. E-wallets are often fastest after approval; cards and bank transfers can take a few business days. LeoVegas states “up to 5 business days depending on method”. We haven’t measured this at any casino yet.

Limits and fees

Withdrawal limits can matter more than speed if you win big. LeoVegas is the only one of the 10 that publishes per-method maximums. The rest don’t publish limits on public pages, so check the cashier or ask support before you deposit. Fees are rare at UK-licensed sites, but LeoVegas and Mr Green both mention processing fees in some cases. Our withdrawal limits by casino page goes deeper.

When a delay becomes a problem

If a withdrawal sits longer than the terms allow:

  1. Ask support in writing and keep the transcript.

  2. Use the operator’s formal complaints process.

  3. Escalate to its ADR provider (UK) or regulator, such as MGA player support or the UKGC complaints guidance.

Rogue sites stall indefinitely, so check our blacklist.

How we’ll measure

Our methodology counts withdrawal reliability as a core pillar. In hands-on tests we’ll record request, approval and arrival timestamps for each method, with screenshots in each review.

FAQ

Q: How long do casino withdrawals take?

A: It depends on three stages: the casino’s pending review, verification checks and the payment method. Operators state anything from “hours” (Casumo) to “up to 5 business days” (LeoVegas). We have not yet tested these.

Q: Why is my withdrawal pending?

A: The casino is reviewing it, often including identity or payment checks. Respond promptly to any document requests.

Q: Can I speed up a withdrawal?

A: Verify your account early, withdraw to the same method you deposited with, and use a method in your own name.

Q: What if a casino won’t pay?

A: Complain in writing, use the operator’s complaints process, then escalate to its ADR body or regulator.

Q: Do you publish real tested withdrawal times?

A: Not yet. Each review will add timed results after our hands-on tests.
