How ProofScore works

How ProofScore works

Evidence first. Seven pillars, published weights and hard limits on what a casino can score. All figures, thresholds, weights, dates and example assessments on this page are illustrative, not verified test results or an approved scoring policy.

The weight behind the score

Weights total 100%. Bars share a 0–100% scale. Each pillar starts at 10; deductions cannot take it below 0. ProofScore = sum of pillar score × weight, then apply the lowest hard-rule cap.

What each pillar measures

Hard rules

Caps override the weighted result; the lowest applicable cap wins. Unverifiable licence or opaque ownership: maximum 4/10. Failed self-exclusion or disabled safety controls: maximum 3/10. A withdrawal left unpaid beyond the documented resolution window: maximum 2/10 pending investigation. Confirmed licence forgery, game manipulation or systematic non-payment: blacklist, no recommendation and no promotional links. A commercial relationship never overrides a cap. Reinstatement requires fresh evidence and independent editorial approval.

Our test protocol

PROTOCOL · Timings and cadence are illustrative. Keep dated receipts; redact personal information.

Record market availability, ownership claims and terms before creating an ordinary player account.

Deposit

Record the payment route, amount, fees and time credited. Save a redacted receipt.

Play

Check game rules, RTP, provider details and bonus restrictions with a controlled test session.

KYC

Document when checks begin, what is requested and how clearly the process is explained.

Withdraw

Record request, approval and receipt timestamps; separate operator processing from network time.

Contact support

Ask the same payment and safety questions; retain the response and escalation outcome.

Re-test every 90 days

Repeat the journey and recheck the licence. Material changes or substantiated complaints trigger an earlier review.

Licence tiers A / B / C
